Lagos, Nigeria – For 20 years, Flytime Promotions has set the gold standard for live entertainment in Africa, cementing its place as a trailblazer in music and culture. As Africa’s premier indoor music festival, Flytime Fest has hosted over 300 iconic artists and delivered over 150 unforgettable shows, cementing its status as a cornerstone of the creative industry. This December, the festival returns to the Eko Convention Center in Lagos for a monumental 20th-anniversary celebration from December 22nd to 25th.
Over the past two decades, Flytime Fest and its flagship event, Rhythm Unplugged, has reached over 300 million people worldwide, making it one of the continent’s most anticipated events of the year. This milestone year continues that tradition, featuring four nights of electrifying performances by Africa’s biggest stars.
In partnership with global beverage leader Coca-Cola, Flytime Promotions will elevate the festival experience with exclusive installations, commemorative merchandise, and interactive activations that honor two decades of musical excellence.

- December 22, 2024 | Coca Cola Rhythm Unplugged – Kicking off the festival, Africa’s
longest-running concert returns with a special anniversary edition, headlined by Gunna. Other performing artists include D’Banj, Bnxn, Fireboy, Odumodublvck, Qing Madi, and many others.
- December 23, 2024 | Olamide – Nigerian rap icon and music mogul Olamide takes center stage with a headline performance celebrating his illustrious career and profound impact on the evolution of Nigerian music. As the founder and CEO of YBNL Records, Olamide has shaped the industry by mentoring and producing some of Nigeria’s brightest stars, including Grammy nominee Asake, Young Jonn, and Fireboy DML. This headline show honors Olamide’s legacy and talent, showcasing his journey as an artist and global music powerhouse.
- December 24, 2024 | Davido – Afrobeats superstar and four-time Grammy nominee Davido returns to Flytime Fest, to once again captivate audiences with his energetic performances and chart-topping global hits.
- December 25, 2024 | Ayra Starr – Flytime Fest proudly closes the festival with a spectacular performance by Afro-pop sensation Ayra Starr, fresh off her just concluded tour with British rock band, Coldplay. Renowned for her dynamic stage presence, Ayra is set to deliver an unforgettable performance for her first-ever headline concert in Nigeria.
Since its inception in 2004, Flytime Promotions has been instrumental in elevating African music on the global stage. The company has hosted groundbreaking events that launched careers and created a premier platform to experience the diversity of Afrobeats alongside amazing global talent, all in one place.
Over the years, Flytime Fest has hosted an array of notable headliners, including international stars like Megan Thee Stallion, Ja Rule, Big Shaq, Craig David, Ashanti, Roddy Ricch, Tion Wayne, Ne-Yo, Wyclef, Boyz II Men, Bobby Brown, and African legends such as Femi Kuti, Wizkid, Burna Boy, etc. This year’s festival continues that tradition with a stellar lineup that embodies the vibrancy and diversity of Africa’s music scene.

Over the years, the event has evolved into a cultural phenomenon, incorporating comedy within its first decade and hosting global stars like Ja Rule and Ashanti, who opened for Flytime’s first one-man comedy show, Bovi Man on Fire, in 2013.

- Tiwa Savage made history as the first woman to headline the festival twice, in 2012 and 2017, paving the way for female artists in the region.
- Meghan The Stallion became the first foreign female artist to lead the festival in 2018.

- Wizkid first saw Tems at Rhythm Unplugged, leading to their collaboration on the hit song “Essence.”
