The energy was electric, the anticipation high, and the smiles endless as Kellogg’s Nigeria made dreams come true at the 2024 Kellogg’s Scholarship Award Ceremony! On February 1, 2025, students, parents, and educators gathered at The Event Place, Ikeja, where 150 bright young minds were rewarded with ₦150,000 each, a moment that left the audience cheering. But here’s the catch—not all winners were there! Only the students in Lagos received their awards in person, making it a moment others could only wish they had experienced firsthand.

The ceremony wasn’t just about handing out scholarships—it was a powerful celebration of education, excellence, and the future of Nigerian children. Dr. Tolu took the stage, reminding parents that beyond academics, a child’s mental well-being is the foundation of success. With a voice full of passion, she urged parents to shower their children with affirmations, love, and kind words, because confidence starts at home.

Lagos State was also in full support of the initiative. Representing the Ministry of Information and Strategy, Mrs. Bukola Bakare applauded Kellogg’s for not just investing in education, but for actively shaping the next generation of leaders. She emphasized the government’s commitment to developing education and technology

, reinforcing the power of writing skills in unlocking a child’s potential.

Then came the moment that had the crowd buzzing. Ajebo, the beloved comedian and storyteller, took the stage, blending humor with history as he traced the evolution of nursery rhymes from the 1900s to today. But he didn’t stop there—he passionately emphasized the importance of keeping African culture alive in children’s learning, a mission he and his brand are championing. His speech left the audience nodding in agreement, proving that education isn’t just about books; it’s about culture, creativity, and storytelling.

As the event drew to a close, the winners—handpicked for their brilliance and creativity—were called up one by one. Each judge proudly handed over the scholarship awards, their words of encouragement ringing through the room. The atmosphere was filled with joy, gratitude, and a renewed hope for the future.

And just like that, history was made again! Kellogg’s Nigeria didn’t just give out scholarships—they created moments that will be remembered for a lifetime.
