Mamador, a premium cooking oil, spread for bread and Seasoning brand, made history yet again with the third edition of the Mamador August Women Meeting 3.0 themed ‘Explore your Flavour – harnessing the potential of the Nigerian Woman’. The innovative platform which has released two powerful editions in the last two years was aimed at empowering and supporting Nigerian women in their journeys to be the best versions of themselves. The inspiring event which happened on Wednesday, the 31st of August 2022 was filled with amazing women of all capacities.
Moderated by Nigerian Television host and media personality Titi Oyinsan, on the panel of this edition of Mamador August Women Meeting were Business marketing expert, Tricia Olufemi-Olumide (TriciaBiz); Food blogger and Chef Ify Monye Mogekwu (Ify’s Kitchen); Fitness coach and Marketing comms expert, Oluwakemi Longe (Kaysfitclub) and the Head of marketing PZ Wilmar Ltd, Chioma Mbanugo. Each woman shared their inspiring stories, experiences, challenges and successes as they journeyed towards self-discovery.
The Mamador August Women Meeting 3.0 kicked off with a masterclass by business marketing expert, Tricia Olufemi-Olumide, who educated women on Leveraging online platforms to improve businesses. The conference which was livestreamed via a number of social media platforms, also had in attendance, Maryam Giwa, The Lady Painter, Geena foodies and spice, The Lady Mechanic amongst others.
Speaking about her experience, Tricia recounted her struggle to break-even in the financial world due to her being a woman. “It was difficult to get a job as a financial consultant or even speak on business related topics simply because I am a woman. I had to start off as an intern even though I was insanely qualified”
Ify shared her kitchen journey, the late nights juggling between being a full-time lawyer and food content creator. Constantly reassuring herself with motivational quotes to keep pushing. She said, ‘In order to live a soft life, you need to do what is hard now!’
Coach Kaysfit urged every woman present to ‘find themselves’ and ‘Be comfortable in their own skin’ as she narrated how people regarded her as a second fiddle when she began her career as a retail manager, driving a truck. A job which many people considered only suitable for men.
The panellists encouraged every woman out there to explore their flavours. Be their own pot of flavours and do whatever makes them happy. Living life to the fullest and believing they can be anything they set their minds to be.
Head of Marketing, PZ Wilmar, Chioma Mbanugo in her Keynote address explained the motive behind the Mamador initiative. She said “Our goal with the Mamador August Women Meeting is to create a platform that will enable women from all walks of life, social class and ethnic backgrounds discuss, share experiences, encourage, support and push each other to overcome barriers and limitations, discover hidden potentials, and inspire one another to achieve fulfilment in their chosen endeavours.”

We are aiming to make an impact; to start a process of change that will ultimately shape the transformation and empowerment of Nigerian women,” she added.
Further demonstrating its commitment to women empowerment, Mamador rewarded six female entrepreneurs with One Million Naira worth of grants to support their businesses.
In her closing remarks, Assistant Brand Manager, Mamador, Fatimat Lawal-Ademo, thanked women for the contributions they make to society and hopes that they are motivated to explore their flavour and find fulfillment in their chosen endeavors.
