When does the NAF recruitment registration start?

Free online registration starts on Wednesday, August 21, and closes on Wednesday, October 2. Interested and qualified applicants should visit the online application portal using a mobile device or computer.

What documents do you need?

Make sure to have the following documents ready:

  • Acknowledgement Form
  • Parent/Guardian Consent Form
  • A signed Local Government Attestation Form

Note: Multiple applications will lead to disqualification.

What are the qualifications?

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens with a National Identification Card/NIN or Bank Verification Number (BVN).
  • Male applicants must be at least 1.66m tall, while female applicants must be at least 1.63m tall.
  • Applicants must be free of any criminal convictions by a court of law.

Who can apply?

The NAF recruitment is open to both non-tradesmen/women and tradesmen/women. Non-tradesmen/women are those with handwork and a certificate of proof, while tradesmen/women are SSCE holders.

Requirements for non-tradesmen/women:

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 22 years old. Those born before September 20, 2003, are not eligible.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of five credits, including Mathematics and English Language.

Requirements for tradesmen/women:

  • Applicants must be between 18 and 25 years old. Those born before September 20, 2000, are not eligible.
  • Applicants for chaplain/imam assistant and driver/mechanic roles must be between 18 and 28 years old. Those born before September 20, 1997, are not eligible.
  • Applicants with ND/NCE must have at least a lower credit from accredited institutions and five credits, including Mathematics and English Language.
  • Applicants for professions allied to medicine must possess an ND from a recognised training institution in Nigeria and a valid practising licence.
  • Applicants for the trade skills listed below must have trade test certificates and a minimum of two passes in WAEC/NECO/GCE/NABTEB:

    • Carpentry
    • Plumbing
    • Masonry
    • Welding
    • Electrician
    • Building Technology
    • Painting
    • Quantity Surveying
    • Civil Engineering
    • Estate Management
    • Town Planning
    • Surveying/Geoinformatics
    • Draughtsmanship
    • Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
  • Applicants applying as sportsmen/women must present evidence of their experience, such as certificates and medals.
