After so many years of being off our screens, Gulder Ultimate Search is back and delivering all the thrills and excitement that the famous reality show is known for. So far, 6 episodes have aired. Now, we’ve decided to get in on the fun and recap the last two episodes (5 & 6). Let’s get into it:
1) After being forgiven by the council of elders, the contestants return to their camp overjoyed and full of life. They quickly settle in for the night to rest because they knew a new task will be coming the next day.
2) And soon enough, it does. But before the challenge starts, the taskmaster lets them know that their inability to listen is stressing him out.
3) Then the challenge starts.
4) Irin clan comes in first, Iroko clan comes in second, and Amo clan comes in last.
5) When the contestants return to their camp after the challenge, they find a clue that leads them to an item they’ve needed all this time but didn’t have. SALT!
6) As the contestants arrive at the place of the talking drums later that night, Toke Makinwa has a game for the losing clan to play to decide who will be evicted.
7) At the end of the game, Yinka is evicted.
8) The next morning, there are multiple fights over random things.
9) The taskmaster comes to visit them in their camp. He reiterates his message from the previous day about the importance of listening and also leaves them a gift.
10) Later on in the day, the contestants go to the ring of ultimate warriors and are introduced to the day’s task by the taskmaster.
11) This is the order in which the clans perform:
12) At the place of the talking drums later that night, Toke Makinwa lets them know that the council of elders see everything. She then asks Mikel and Tima to stand, and directs a question at Mikel:
13) After Mikel explains his behaviour, Toke Makinwa informs him that he’s been evicted for threatening another contestant. The look on Mikel’s face says:
14) While Mikel does the walk of shame back to the camp to pack his things, everyone else gets back to the matter at hand. Toke Makinwa informs the winning clan (Irin) that their first placement has earned them a gift.
15) After playing a game with the losing clan (Iroko) to figure out who the weakest link is, it is revealed to be Gerald. He is immediately evicted.
And the episode ends.
